You survived the sugar-bomb of Halloween unscathed, way to go! Now it's Thanksgiving around the corner, and carb-laden appetizers, processed casseroles, piles of dinner rolls and a whole table of pies will be there to tempt you.

Thanksgiving.jpgDon’t fret! We’ve got nutritionist-approved recipes for you to make a healthy meal from start to finish or pick a dish to bring to your get together and know you’ll have a healthy option to choose.

One more tip, don’t forget how important your Thanksgiving breakfast is. Though not the most well-known meal of the day, it is perhaps the most important because it’ll set you up for a day of balanced blood sugar (no cravings!) or for a blood sugar crash (cravings galore!).

Getting to the main meal of the day with balanced blood sugar on your side means you’re less likely to overeat the unhealthy fare and spend the rest of the weekend regretting it. We’d highly recommend starting your day with Breakfast Burritos or a Sheet Pan Frittata with Ham, Spinach and Feta for the whole family. Both are fast meals to eat on a sometimes hectic morning, or you could make them ahead for one less thing to prepare the day of.

Without further ado, here are our favorite holiday recipes, which are on our tables year after year. Let's start with the star of the show, a brined and roasted turkey.
