Commonly Asked Questions

Yes!  Our clients let us know how they like and appreciate the flexibility and convenience that virtual appointments offer. Plus, it saves them time from driving to and from our locations. We believe that virtual appointments with our nutritionists will help you accomplish your goals – at a time and place that’s most convenient for you. So, no matter how busy your schedule is, we can still connect.

Insurance may cover your nutrition counseling, depending on your health plan. For more information go to Insurance Coverage for Nutrition Counseling.

Yes, our nutrition counseling can be paid with using your HSA or FSA account.

Absolutely not. You are free to come and go as it fits for your life. We know from experience that return consultations are best for continued support and success (and because it’s the most cost-effective choice for you), but you and your nutritionist will decide the best course of action to meet your goals.

No! All the foods our team recommends are found at your local grocery store: the kinds your grandparents ate, and theirs before them – real food – the kind that comes without a package and a label to decipher. Depending on your health, supplements may be recommended (but not required) to rebalance your biochemistry, help you stick to a healthy eating plan, or give you extra nutritional support. But again, they are not required and your nutritionist will help you stick within your budget.

We get this question a lot, and we understand that nutrition counseling is new to many people! Plus, what do you talk about for one and a half hours? Read on for what to expect prior to your consultation and during it.

What to expect during your initial consultation

  • You and your nutritionist will discuss your health history and concerns to set goals based on what's most important to you.
  • You will have plenty of time to ask questions and discuss your health goals and concerns.
  • You will learn how foods affect your health and well-being and why certain foods are important to include in your diet.
  • You will receive a realistic, personalized eating plan, along with recipes and suggestions for meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Your nutritionist will work with you to find practical ways  to implement our real-food approach to eating.
  • Enjoy 10% off supplements the day of your counseling appointment. Depending on your health, supplements may be recommended (but not required) to rebalance your biochemistry, help you follow a healthy eating plan, or give you nutritional support.

Trust us, the appointment time flies by, and you will leave feeling like no stone was left unturned, and knowing you finally have the advocate and resources you’ve been looking for.

We find that clients who see their nutritionist every 2 to 3 weeks are the most successful.  Whether you are struggling staying on track or are doing perfectly, a follow-up helps you troubleshoot, celebrate and reset.
